Dr Mike Verbora

Michael is an internationally recognized expert on medical cannabis, having spoken to the European Union parliament and other leading institutions. Michael earned an MBA from the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business in 2009 and an M.D. from Schulich School of Medicine at Western University in 2013, before entering a Family Practice residency at the University of Toronto. A member of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids, Doctors for Responsible Access and the Canadian Pain Society, he has completed over 4,000 cannabinoid therapy consultations, and has presented many talks in community and hospital settings while serving as student health physician at Seneca College and Medical Director, Canabo Medical Clinic. Dr. Verbora also recently joined the McMaster University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor.

Keith White is a dynamic leader with 20+ years of experience in the private health care sector specializing in Operations and Information Technology.
Prior to joining Aleafia Health, White was the Chief Operation Officer of a Greater Toronto Area multidisciplinary clinic network, the largest of its kind in Canada, with over 500,000 unique patients. White is also the Chairman of the Lakeridge Health Foundation, a healthcare not-for-profit, Director for the HP Health Advisory Council (Americas), Past-Chair for the Durham College IT Program Advisory Committee and is a peer leader with Ontario MD, an electronic medical record subsidiary of the Ontario Medical Association.
Keith holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
Dr Graham Merry
Head of Medical Research
Dr. Merry leads Aleafia Health’s ongoing medical cannabis research. These efforts are aimed at developing evidence-based, proprietary treatment methods and products for chronic illnesses including pain, insomnia, anxiety and eating disorders. Dr. Merry graduated in Medicine from The Royal London Medical College in London, U.K and is the founder of Photospectra Health Sciences Inc. which focuses on the research and development of treatments for Age-related Dry Macular Degeneration, a common eyesight disorder. He has instigated, been a principal investigator and published clinical trials internationally.
Dr Taylor Lougheed
Cannabinoid Physician & Speaker
Dr Lougheed is a physician in family, sport, emergency, and cannabinoid medicine. He is passionate about primary care, medical education, global health, and quality improvement. Taylor is also the Lead Physician at the Canabo Medical Clinic Ottawa location and is frequently invited to give talks regarding medical cannabinoids and has presented to a variety of audiences including patient groups, physicians, and healthcare institutions. He currently practices predominantly in Ottawa and the surrounding region.
Dr Matt Cooper
CANNABINOID PHYSICIAN & SPEAKER
Dr. Cooper has practiced medicine since 1998, and obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Science as well as his Doctor of Medicine degrees from McMaster University. He completed additional training in advanced Cardiac, Paediatric and Trauma Life Support, as well as Emergency Department Ultrasonography. Dr. Cooper has been granted Diplomate status from the Canadian Academy of Pain Management, and has advanced training in pain management, low back pain assessment and treatment, and optimizing pain relief. He is certified with CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) as a Safe Opioid Prescriber, as well as with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) for prescribing medicinal marijuana.
Dr. Cooper has spent a decade working as a family and emergency physician in rural Australia, British Columbia and the Canadian Arctic. Currently, he works as an emergency physician at the Georgetown Hospital, along with his work at Burlington Pain Care in the assessment and treatment of chronic pain.
